Uniquely talented actress Maria Tornberg has visited the casting offices for the long running daytime soap Days of our Lives numerous times over the years, and last week her persistence paid off as a role seemingly written specifically for her came across the the boards on Breakdown Services. Casting director Marnie Saitta requested that Maria audition, but she was already tied up on another project, and was only able to submit a self taped audition. Based on Maria’s long history of solid auditions and a terrific take on the character, Saitta was confident enough to book Maria based on the strength of her self taped audition without a callback. Congratulations Maria Tornberg!

Due to the nature of the show and secrecy of the script, we can’t yet release the character’s name and storyline, but we look forward to updating everyone on the details when Maria appears on the show later this year.
